Leap Year

Today is Brandon and I's "First" anniversary. Brandon asked me to be his girlfriend 4 years ago today on leap year. Therefore, after 4 long years we finally get to celebrate the real date. We really wanted our daughter to be a little early and be born today but I am writing to say- I don't think she is coming. We thought it would be fun and special to have her on leap year and our dating anniversary but she feels cozy. I even went on a run with my sister to see if it would break my water or something but I am still good. I am now planning on being late so I won't feel disappointed if my due date comes and goes. Brandon and I are all packed but we are patiently waiting for her arrival.

Naming a Human

Hello, This is Brandon - my wife is the creative one with some skills in the digital wonderland of 'blog' - and so I write under her account info - whatever that actually means. The time is coming for Sara and I to name a human being. It turns out that we are having a baby girl, and whatever we name her is what she'll be called for the rest of her life, and so it is somewhat of a challenge and responsibility. My first thought for a name was (and still is) Delorean. It sounds smooth and can take you to new and exciting places at 88 m.p.h. The Wife and I have a list on our fridge, wherein we have invited friends, family, and people who 'will work for food' to contribute to the list with any name that one feels appropriate for a human to carry for the entirey of an earthly life. All this to say - we have agreed to wait to name her until we see her out of the womb. Also, the lady doesn't like 'Delorean', so we may end up with something more traditional...like Blowfish, or McFallington. If you have a good name idea for a cute baby girl, please leave a comment. Don't give us anything too normal or popular - make it shnazzy have it carry some meaning. Well...I guess you can give us something normal or popular if you want to...after all, it is your comment...but I (Brandon) won't take is seriously...my wife might, because she is sweet, and smells good. Preggers

It was recommended to me to make a website for my baby girl who is due March 5. I am somewhat of a caveman when it comes to computers but I am trying to utilize new resources. I want to provide a way for people to see her grow along with Brandon and I. For now, all I have to show off is my basketball-sized belly.

I am 37 weeks pregnant and feel really good. The anticipation of the day is preoccupying my mind and I wish God would give me a little hint to the exact date of her birth. Currently I am enjoying my "nesting" period by perfecting the baby room, touching up paint around the house, doing yard work, exercising with my sister, and many other little projects.

Brandon is working hard in the oil fields and enjoying the new job. He comes home smelling of oil everyday and his face and neck are beginning to be much tanner than the rest of him. He has a lovely hard-hat tan line. He too, is excited about our new adventure into parenthood.
